Life as Usual

Well, after days and days of being out of routine, I think we are finally getting back to life as usual. It has been kind of crazy around our house and this 8 month pregnant mom has felt the affects of it. So, Friday Triston was out of school because it was too cold. He was pumped about that but we had to rearrange things.

Then, Saturday we spent the whole day cleaning. Yes, I cleaned for about 8 hours. I felt fine while I was busy cleaning. But once I stopped...I hurt, BAD.

Then Sunday was another day of non-stops. We went to church, then to lunch, then to the store. I did get an hour or so of rest before we were off to our small group meeting that evening.

I had pretty much already decided that Monday was going to have to be a rest day for me. My company does not see MLK Day as a holiday so I took it upon myself to take it as a holiday!! I stayed in bed all day long. By the time, Daniel and Triston got home I felt much better!! I am sure they were as happy about that as I was.

On top of all of that, we have been painting Triston's room. And when I say we, I mean my mother-in-law! So, that has thrown us all into a frenzy. Triston's room has been torn apart since Saturday. He has been sleeping on the couch which he loves but he can hear every noise and that keeps him from sleeping well. And that makes for some rough early mornings! I am so, so ready to get his room back in order tonight and get him sleeping in his own bed again. So, the second my clock turns to 4:00 I will be out of here and on my way home to get things back to normal!!

A Sneak Peak

We endulged and had some maternity pictures done last week. We were so anxious to see how they turned out that she went ahead and sent me a few to me just to "wet my whistle"!! I think, so far, they look amazing. So, I thought I would share just a preview of how they turned out.

We did include Tris in these pics but so far there were no good ones of the three of us. It is hard to get three people to do what you want at the same time!! Especially with Triston, he likes to ham around in pictures!! I am sure she will come up with some that are good though!

Baby Doc

I went to the doctor yesterday for my second every two weeks appointment. I was kind of nervous about my weight gain since last time I gained five pounds and my doc was less than impressed. So, this time I only gained one whole pound!! My doc and I were both very pumped about that. Other than that she projected that P weighs about four pounds. She still has about 6 weeks of growing left. If she doesn't decide to come earlier. My doctor advised me to prop my feet up all day while at work and go home and lay on the sofa and put my feet up on the arm rest to keep my swelling down. She thinks we should do one more appointment in two weeks and then start our once a week appointments. I also went to look around the labor and delivery floor of the hospital. It is very nice. Everything has been recently re-done. The rooms are nice and big with a place for the baby to stay in the room with us. They are labor, delivery, and postpartum rooms so we will be in the same room the whole time. So, all of that was very exciting for me. I am so ready for her to be here! But I am so not prepared for her to be here yet!! We have seven weeks to go!

The Brag Page

I must take some time to brag on my boy!! Report cards came home today and he told me that he had a "great" report card. So, when I opened I found him to be oh so right! He had an incredible report card. He got ALL A's!! He even brought a C up to an A!! He also got an E (for excellent) in handwriting! His teacher was very impressed and very proud of him, as are we! It is so exciting to see him so proud of his outstanding work!

Who Likes Mornings Anyway?!

I think the rest of my family planned to play a game with me this morning. It was called..."Let's see who can be the most difficult". Why they did this to me I have no idea but it sure was fun (sarcasm intended).
First, Triston did not want to wake up. But once he did the madness began. Let's see he spilled his water on his new Idog. I left the room to prepare his breakfast and heard what I thought was the dog whining. I was wrong, it was Triston whining. He was doing this because his jeans were too tight. Which, of course, was a really easy fix with the adjustable waistband and was not reason to whine. So, after telling him next time he has a problem like that to just come to me and say can you help me fix my pants, I left the room yet again. I then heard, whining. Again?? Come on!! So, I go back in there to ask what the problem was this time and he ignored me. That was probably not his best choice. We will just say that he is very lucky he did not get a mouth full of vinegar this morning. So, he finally gets in there to eat breakfast and what happens...he spills the milk from his cereal! Yeah, I know, you wish you were me.
Well, I did survive getting Triston out the door to school. The next step was to get me out the door. I was doing a good job of that when all of the sudden I hear gagging. This time it was the dog. He was two seconds from throwing up his bone all over my floor. I rushed him out the door to save my rug from complete nastiness! At this point, I gave up. I half packed my lunch and half fixed my coffee and left. I still made it to work on time (that is 15 minutes late!).
I am still not sure who won the game of who can be the most difficult. I would say that I won because I did not crack...totally!!! Well, maybe just a little bit!
